Teams of the school played the NRW school chess state finals of the Schachjugend NRW in Hamm, a team tournament in which each school stands as one side and is ranked as a team, on 28 March 2025 (Grundschule, place 30) and on 27 March 2026 (Grundschule Mädchen, place 27; Grundschule, place 49). The school directory of the NRW ministry for schools lists the school at Hartmannstr. 85, 46145 Oberhausen.
