Chess in Hattingen 4
About this list
Hattingen, a town on the Ruhr in the Ennepe-Ruhr district, has a striking number of clubs for its size: Schachverein Hattingen in the town centre, and clubs in the districts of Welper, Blankenstein and Winz-Baak, namely Schachverein Welper 1922, Schachgemeinschaft Blankenstein 1947 and Schachgemeinschaft Winz-Baak 48.
Schachverein Hattingen and Welper both start Friday with youth training in the late afternoon and continue with the adults' evening, Welper in the Bürgerzentrum Holschentor. Blankenstein and Winz-Baak appear in this list mainly through their teams in the league matches of the Ruhr federation, where the town's clubs also meet each other at the board.
