Latest evidence

Teams of the school played the NRW school chess state finals of the Schachjugend NRW in Hamm, a team tournament in which each school stands as one side and is ranked as a team, on 28 March 2025 (WK IV, place 17) and on 27 March 2026 (WK IV, place 3). At the German school chess championships, WK IV, 7 to 10 May 2026, the German chess youth lists the school’s team among the North Rhine-Westphalia entrants, 26th in the final standings. The school directory of the NRW ministry for schools lists the school at Ruschenstr. 1, 45133 Essen. The result pages are the only chess trace; no page of the school about chess was opened, so the entry stays unconfirmed.
