Teams of the school played the NRW school chess state finals of the Schachjugend NRW in Hamm, a team tournament in which each school stands as one side and is ranked as a team, on 28 March 2025 (Grundschule Mädchen, place 1; Grundschule, place 12) and on 27 March 2026 (Grundschule Mädchen, place 2; Grundschule, place 2; Grundschule Mädchen, place 10). At the German school chess championships, WK G M (primary-school girls), 19 to 22 June 2026, the German chess youth lists the school’s team among the North Rhine-Westphalia entrants, 3rd in the final standings. The school directory of the NRW ministry for schools lists the school at Katzbachstr. 24, 47443 Moers. The result pages are the only chess trace; no page of the school about chess was opened, so the entry stays unconfirmed.
